Introducing Three New Soups for the Winter

A soup-er combo for your next meal

We know that as the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, you don't necessarily wake up every day craving a salad. But soup is the perfect addition to any MAD Greens salad, grain bowl or wrap to make your meal cozy and craveable. To celebrate the winter season, we've introduced three* new flavors sure to please every palette: Broccoli Cheddar, Chicken Poblano and Roasted Red Pepper & Smoked Gouda Bisque. Check out the new soups below and then on your next MAD Greens visit, make your meal a combo with a cup for just $2.50.

Our Creamy Chicken Poblano is almost remiscent of queso in its flavor profile and will hook you with just one bite. It's a cream-based soup with diced chicken, red bell peppers, corn and black beans. We add poblano peppers for a slight kick - they have a rich, earthy flavor and weigh in at about 1,500 Scoville heat units for spiciness (habanero peppers have 250,000 SCUs or more). The result is a delectable cup of soup that will add just a little heat to your day.

Fun fact: When dried, the poblano pepper is called the ancho chili. When smoked and dried, it becomes a chipotle.
 
The Broccoli Cheddar soup is a hearty, classic favorite made with large chunks of broccoli, lots of sharp cheddar cheese, a touch of hot sauce and chicken stock for added flavor. We use plenty of broccoli, florets and stalks, so you can get some in every bite...even people who "don't like broccoli" should love it when bathed in a creamy, cheesy broth. This soup is thick, rich and the perfect comfort food to warm you up from the inside out.

The Roasted Red Pepper & Smoked Gouda Bisque is our most unusual soup this season, with a unique ingredient combo, distinct smell and classic texture. We blend tomatoes and roasted red peppers together with light cream for that delicate bisque texture then add smoked Gouda cheese for a decadent flavor profile and mouthwatering smell. Gouda is a Dutch cow-milk cheese with butterscotch and nutty undertones; it adds creaminess (and deliciousness!) to any dish.
