MAD Greens Supports Walk MS Denver

Participants celebrate at the Walk MS Denver finish line.

MAD Greens recently donated food to feed the more than 5,000+ walkers who braved the cold and snowy conditions to participate in Walk MS Denver. Why does Walk MS matter? Because ending Multiple Sclerosis for good is a big task that requires as many people as possible. Walk MS is a charity walk series started by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS Society) in 1988 to raise money for groundbreaking research, life changing programs and a supportive community for those living with MS. Walk MS Denver specifically benefits the society's Colorado-Wyoming chapter and the more than 100,000 individuals who are affected by MS annually.

Pictured: MAD Greens fueled attendees with lots of Doc Holliday salad. We chose to serve the Doc because it was our special MS Society Colorado promotional salad during the month of April. From April 1 - April 30, 2016, for every Doc Holliday salad sold in Colorado, a $1 was donated to the National MS Society's Colorado-Wyoming chapter.

In the past six years, MAD Greens has donated more than $175,000 in cash and in-kind contributions to the MS Society through sponsorship and participation in events like Walk MS Denver, Bike MS: Colorado and Muck Fest MS Denver.

It was a chilly day but the cause made everything worthwhile! (So far, the event organizers report that more than $567,000 has been raised by the 2016 Walk MS Denver participants.) To join the movement and learn more about creating a world free of MS, visit www.cureMSco-wy.org.
