According to QSR Magazine, fast casual 2.0 brands are attracting some big investments, investments that could propel certain concepts to the next stage of national growth. But why is there such interest from investors now? MAD Greens Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Marley Hodgson says the recipe for success is a large shift in how people are eating in America combined with a brand's growing connection to the local community through things like local sourcing and local partnerships:

"I think the blend of all those things together allows concepts like MAD Greens and others to strike a chord. It's very interesting to private equity because they see those brands as being very on point for the future."
