Introducing New Locally-Sourced Program

Colorados summer growing season is the perfect time to enjoy fresh-from the-field produce. But not everyone can make it to the farm or farmers market to enjoy the seasonal bounty.

MAD Greens wants everyone to have access to such locally-sourced food, so theyre teaming up with Colorado non-profit, GoFarm. GoFarm brings affordable, healthy, local food to the community through their multi-farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
We were excited to discover GoFarm because its a Golden-based business doing amazing work to further local farmers and in some cases micro farmers. These are farmers using small parcels of land, sometimes even front yards in residential neighborhoods, to grow their produce, said MAD Greens Co-Founder and Corporate Chef Dan Long. Additionally, they focus on servicing food deserts and those in the community who dont have access to fresh foods. MAD Greens is committed to fresh ingredients and locally sourcing whenever possible, so GoFarms mission really resonates with us.
How does it work?
Anyone can become a CSA member by purchasing a share through the GoFarm website. From June-October, members will receive a delicious, fresh bagof produce every two weeks from local farmers.
Three Denver-area MAD Greens (Denver Art Museum, Lakewood and Westminster) are GoFarms CSA bag pick-up locations, but there are other designated pick-up spots as well. The MAD Greens pick-up dates are:
  • June 20
  • July 4 / July 18
  • August 1 / August 15 / August 29
  • September 12 / September 26
  • October 10 / October 24
  • November 7

We rely on community partners like MAD Greens to help spread the word and get more people involved in our CSA share program so we are incredibly excited to have them on board, said GoFarm CEO and Founder Eileen Regan. We focus on supporting small farms whenever possible as this group of growers really needs a hand up in the market freeing them to do what they do best farm. Working together, GoFarm and MAD Greens can continue to grow the local food economy.

Every two weeks, produce will be sourced from a variety of local farmers and growers, including:
  • Big Willys Farm Campion, Colorado
  • Daily Harvest Aquaponics Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Infinite Harvest Lakewood, Colorado
  • Micro Farms LLC. Lakewood, Colorado
  • Living Land Farm Wheat Ridge, Colorado
