Going for the Gold at Beer Olympics
Over 1,200 drinkers from across the East Valley of Arizona spent Friday evening seeking the sweet taste of victory during the second annual Beer Olympics at Tempe Marketplace. And the MAD Greens team was there to cheerlead, with hummus in hand of course.
Beer Olympians competed in flip cup relays, corn hole, air hockey and quarters. There were some larger-than-life games too like giant Jenga and Titan Beer Pong, a popular adaptation played with buckets and larger pong balls. Or players could try their hands at a giant inflatable skee ball booth and a stationary bike race. Many participants turned up the fun quotient by wearing costumers or matching outfits.
This event saw a 500 person increase over last year's innaugural event and proceeds were donated to Tempe Bicycle Action Group. Glad we don't have to wait another four years for the next iteration of Beer Olympics!
