MAD Greens has been cooking up something very exciting for you and we are thrilled to announce that warm and hearty Grain Bowls are now available at all our locations! These delicious meals feature a gluten-free, five-rice blend paired with our fresh veggies, homemade proteins and dressings from scratch. We've created three distinct flavor profiles -- Southwest, Spicy Bacon and the Buddha bowl -- but just like our salads, they're made right in front of you so each grain bowl is exactly the way you want it. No matter what you put in it, they're sure to fill you up and make you smile.
In order to make room for the new guys in town, we will no longer be serving paninis. But fear not! We promise our panini-loving guests that you will find something new to love...grain bowls are a great warm, salad alternative and we've expanded our wrap offerings. Turns out the Annie Oakley tastes amazing when wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. You've still got all the bacon and avocado your stomach desires, but now it's made fresh and can be easily customized (we recommend adding some MAD Spice to your avo!). Or check out the brand new Buffalo Bill wrap, a classic flavor combo with buffalo sauce, carrots, celery and our Blue Cheese dressing.
Now let's meet the other new additions to the the MAD family! Then get your taste buds ready and come in to any MAD Greens to satisfy that craving you didn't even know you had.
Southwest Bowl: Warm Wild Rice Blend, Grilled Southwestern Chicken, Spinach, Roasted Corn, Avocado, Tomatoes, Cotija Cheese with Cilantro Chili Lime Dressing
The Southwest Bowl was the most popular during our tests, probably because it's crammed with pure deliciousness. You'll first notice the creamy avocado, salty cotija cheese and grilled southwestern chicken with its chili powder, garlic and cumin. Then you'll get hit with pops of freshness from the tomatoes and corn. And the fan favorite Cilantro Chili Lime dressing, made with cilantro, cotija, lime and MAD Spice, will leave you licking the bowl.
Spicy Bacon Bowl: Warm Wild Rice Blend, Grilled Citrus Chicken or Piri Piri Shrimp, Spinach, Green Onions, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, MAD Spice with Sriracha Almond Vinaigrette
This bacon-forward bowl is the epitome of comfort food, but it's the sweet heat from the Sriracha Almond Vinaigrette that elevates the Spicy Bacon. It has a bold flavor with the Sriracha but local honey balances out the spiciness and toasted almonds give this dairy-free dressing a rich mouthfeel. It's the team's favorite, hands down! The citrus chicken and the piri piri shrimp both go so well with the bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions that nobody's judging if you order one for lunch and dinner...
Buddha Bowl: Warm Wild Rice Blend, Piri Piri Tofu, Spinach, Red Onions, Pumpkin Seeds, Edamame, Carrots with Citrus Hoisin Dressing
A Buddha bowl is not a strict recipe, but more of a general formula consisting of whole grains, plants and vegetables. And in our version, we've created a delicious vegan meal that will fill you up with edamame, pumpkin seeds and piri piri tofu. We're also introducing a brand new dressing to go with the Buddha Bowl...Citrus Hoisin! Hoisin sauce is a fragrant, thick sauce used in Asian vegetable stir-fries, glazes and marinades. It's sweet and salty and is enhanced by the lime juice, agave and Sriracha.
